Users will be able to build Microsoft Loop components by themselves. 

Microsoft announced an important upgrade for a collaborative tool Loop. Loop is a real-time collaborative tool that is included in Microsoft 365 last year. 

The software giant revealed that it will examine a system that allows building custom loop components. These components will be based on Adaptive Cards. Adaptive Cards are a framework that developers use to create portable bits of data information. 

The custom components will be in recommendations for users depending on contextual factors. They can also be shared on other MS suite apps like Microsoft Teams and Outlook. 

Microsoft Loop 

Microsoft Loop has three main elements: components, workspaces, and pages. It was announced in 2021 as part of the official MS 365 apps. 

Loop components are live bits of data, they can be in the form of lists, tables, or notes. These can be moved freely across Microsoft productivity suite services. Let’s say if a person changes a Loop component in Teams, that change will be synced across all MS 365 apps. 

Loop pages act as a canvas that contains several components like files, links, and data. While workspace is used to collect relevant material for a specific project. 

Before the pandemic, there were traditional and predefined patterns of work. Emails for communication and documents, spreadsheets, and presentations were used for content creation. However, during the pandemic, the world changed, and work patterns were disrupted. People had to adjust to new working conditions. They had to replace traditional communication and in-person collaboration with alternative options. To make office work universal, interactive, and collaborative, Microsoft added Loop in its MS 365 suite. 

This upgrade will further the opportunities for more Loop components and more improvements. Hopefully, it will allow users to develop case-specific components rather than generic ones.
