Now you can build as well as deploy bots on Microsoft Teams. However, you need to have clearance for it.

When it comes to video conferencing there is no other platform equivalent to Microsoft Teams. The Microsoft Office 365 app was introduced in 2017 and now it is a must for every corporate setting.

It has seen huge success during the past five years, especially during the pandemic. Due to work from home Teams was the only platform considered for communication.

However, managing a variety of tools and applications in online collaboration services can be troublesome. While we all know there is almost no help offered and this can be exhausting.

Luckily now smarts bots will be introduced for Team users to assist them. But there’s a catch due to which some of us would not be able to use it.

Microsoft Teams bots

With this update, users will tackle common hurdles and potential risks by building and deploying customized bots. These bots will operate on issues that could be automated within the Microsoft Teams environment.

The bots will increase efficiency and improve productivity by addressing relevant issues. This will definitely boost collaboration and communication among organization members; something that all Team users would appreciate.

Microsoft revealed that bots will be exclusive for US Government based IT Teams namely Government Community Cloud or short for GCC.

This will be mainly for the Department of Defense; the members will have to comply with the strict rules and regulations. They will have to go through thorough verification and security clearance processes to get to use their software. As the company is designing software and customized tools to address issues these GCC customers face.

These bots seem like a good help for everyday Teams users; too bad most of us won’t be able to use this feature.

If this launched successfully and Microsoft saw good turnover with bots in the Government Community Cloud one can hope the company might consider launching a general launch for the public. Let’s hope it all goes perfectly and we get to try these bots ourselves!
