Microsoft that is known for Office 365 plans to release a public preview of its Android mobile apps for Windows 11 in March, along with taskbar enhancements and new Notepad and Media Player applications. In a blog article today, Windows executive Panos Panay highlighted the planned improvements to Windows 11, which seems to be part of Windows 11’s first major release.

A mute and unmute function, as well as the option to display a clock on additional monitors, are among the taskbar enhancements. Both were gone when Windows 11 was released, but Microsoft is currently focusing on upgrading the taskbar to restore missing capabilities such as drag and drop.

The weather widget will reappear on the taskbar in the forthcoming Windows 11 release, which Microsoft began testing in January. Microsoft is also updating its Notepad and Media Player applications, which will have dark modes and style modifications to better complement Windows 11.

The significant new feature, however, will be Android mobile apps on Windows 11. The executive specifies that this will be a “public preview,” implying that the function will still be in beta when it becomes publicly accessible in February. In October last year, Microsoft began testing Android mobile apps on Windows 11 with beta testers, and the capability enables you to download a small number of applications via Amazon’s Appstore. There are a number of hacks available to enable the Play Store to run on Windows 11, although Microsoft does not officially endorse this.

The windows executive also gave a number of statistics on how crucial Windows has grown in recent years. Windows 10 and Windows 11 are being installed on 1.4 billion computers each month, and the computer industry has grown rapidly throughout the epidemic.

“When we analyze what is driving this fundamental shift in computer demand and use, we find three constant trends: the rise of hybrid work and learning, changes in leisure habits, and distribution strategies, and shifting customer behavior for daily chores,” the executive adds.

According to Microsoft, the number of users utilizing programs such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom has increased sixfold. The Windows 11 upgrade due out in February will also make it easy to share your screen in Microsoft Teams and other videoconferencing applications. When you hover over programs like Teams on the taskbar, a new tab appears, allowing you to instantly share window information on a meeting.

“Ever since the start of the epidemic, 70% more individuals have watched material on Windows from YouTube, and monthly gaming sessions have increased by almost 35%,” says the Windows executive.”As an organization, we feel a huge amount of gratitude and satisfaction in creating a service that has gradually become a part of everyone’s everyday routine, and we believe that we’re not finished yet.”
