It was not just you, for millions of people, over a handful of Apple products were unavailable, including Apple’s Cloud Service iCloud and SMS Service iMessage.

On the technology company’s system status webpage, 11 disruptions were listed, including podcasts, music, and games. It stated that Apple was looking into the problem and that services may be sluggish or inaccessible.

And over four thousand customers experienced trouble accessing Apple Music, while almost four thousand reported problems with Apple’s cloud service iCloud, as per an outage tracking site.

Others also reported problems with “Find My iPhone,” the Apple Store, maps, and support.

The outage tracking site monitors failures by aggregating status updates from many sources, particularly user-submitted faults on its website. The disruption might impact a bigger number of people.

The technology company was replying to afflicted Twitter users, although it remains uncertain what was causing the disruptions.

According to a News site, Apple’s corporate employees who work from home and retail employees were also experiencing difficulties. According to the article, the disruption caused delays in product fixes and pickups, as well as restricted staff’s accessibility to internal sites.

As per the article, Apple informed employees that the downtime was caused by the domain name system – an internet address book that allows computers to link website names with the right server.

in 2021, DNS difficulties prompted significant disruptions on social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram, as well as bringing down airline and bank websites for many days.

Whatever the reason, systems began to restore to normalcy about 2 hours into the disturbance.

Several individuals noted that they could finally use the App Store, albeit initial downloads were often delayed. Following that, iMessages were restored; finally, Apple Music and Siri began responding to queries, and Apple Maps was completely restored about the same time.
